Windy City E, CHAPS Uk Grading Certificate
Windy City E Sire: Wind Dancer
Best sire ever and principal
As one of the first sires of Kempke Hof Wind Dancer had his final breakthrough last year. In autumn 2004 his offspring kept what they promised while still foals. A total of four approved sons was the yield of the first major crop of our glossy black star sire. In Redefin the breeding association of the Mecklenburg horse confirmed the stallion approval of the two black stallions Witellus (dam by Calido, breeder: W. Constien, Jördenstorf) and Wantango (dam by Lateiner, breeder: Dr. S. Neumann, Neu Hohenfelde). The latter one attracted particular attention due to his typeful brilliance and his terrific movements. The sorrel Wertigo (dam by Solar/Trakehner, product of own stud farm) finished as vice champion of the Redefin stallion approval.
At the joint stallion approval of the breeding associations of Berlin-Brandenburg and Saxony-Anhalt at Neustadt/ Dosse, the black Wild Dancer (dam by Cardos, breeder: J. Auge, Güstrow) was positively assessed by the commission for stallion approval. It looks like he is making a habit of it: also in 2004 Wind Dancer was praised as a sire of high-class foals which achieved top prices. The winner of the filly foal class on the Foal Championships at Kempke Hof was a black fillly by Wind Dancer-Sion-Pik Bube I bred by Sonja and Carsten Kluth. The class of colt foals was decided in favour of a grey son of Wind Dancer out of a dam by Lukas-Gladiator/ Trak. bred by Heinrich Kloth, Wattmannshagen. The third time in succession the foal from the match of Wind Dancer and the grey mare Roccy by Rondo/ Trak.-Eiger I-Pokal owned by Bernd Oldenburger, Brewitz was selected for the Elite Foal Auction held by the Hanoverian Breeding Association at Verden.
This year it was a grey colt which was sold at the top price so far – in the upper fifth of the price structure – to Great Britain. The top price of the 13th foal auction at Luhmühlen was achieved by a bay son of Wind Dancer out of a dam by Edinburgh-Wohlan and bred by Matthias Vorreier, Aulosen. This foal was by the way the only descendant of Wind Dancer in the field of the 63 auction candidates. All descendants of Wind Dancer present themselves with a striking, typeful brilliance. Frequently clad in dark colours, they display an impressive walk, best formation of the hind quarters and an impulsive, forward-upward action with good swing and elasticity. Even over the jumps they fulfil the highest expectations. For these confirmed siring qualities Wind Dancer enjoys the highest popularity among the breeders. After passing his 30-day-test at Vechta with excellent results (final score with emphasis on dressage: 8.43; final score with emphasis on jumping: 8.64) Wind Dancer did very well in his 70-day-test at Neustadt/ Dosse, too. Meanwhile his only duties are those of a stud stallion. His pedigree makes Wind Dancer an allround sire in every respect. His sire Weltruhm belongs to the most distinguished sons of Weltmeyer, particularly for passing on his excellent ridability, a characteristic that could not be valued too much. In the breeding value assessment of the FN he ranks in the top group.
On the dam’s side of his pedigree Weltruhm carries on the desired blood of Nevado xx. The pedigree of Wind Dancer’s dam, the state premium mare Arabel unites the blood of Argentan I, Widerhall and Duft I, all of them sires who have passed on their performance qualities in the Hanoverian breed. Her sire Argentan I is a sire of multiple qualities. Woronow (state stallion Celle) is an approved half brother of Wind Dancer. The dam line, the Hanoverian family of Nazarina which goes back far into the 19th century, is the origin of many successful sports horses and the stallions Arier, Glimmer and Wieland (all state st. Celle) and Wolkenstürmer (PB Rhpfs.).
